K. Spoetzl Distillery Introduction

A quick conversation introducing K Spoetzl Distilling from Shiner Beer. The largest craft brewery in Texas starts a distillery producing whiskey, gin, and vodka. Their first concentration is a 4-grain bourbon (mashbill 80% corn, 10% malted barley, 5% rye, & 5% wheat).

The distillery is only a couple of months into production with a limited number of barrels filled. K Spoetzl's first whiskey offering is their Shiner Shine (unaged whiskey from bourbon mashbill).

Their gin is based on a traditional London Dry Gin, adding in local botanicals used in their beers, like Rio Grand Valley Grapefruit peels and pecans.

The products will be available at the distillery starting Memorial Day Weekend of 2023.
